Thor may be an Asgardian, but he certainly does have his problems and weaknesses. His biggest strength is also his greatest weakness: Mjolnir.
In a series of events, Mjolnir and Thor’s “lifeforces” became one (“Thor Complete Powers”). Due to that process, Mjolnir can respond to nearly every will of Thor’s. However, in the rare instances when Mjolnir has been damaged or nearly destroyed, Thor has felt the pain. In the end, if Mjolnir is destroyed, so is Thor.
Thor’s other weakness has nothing to do with his physical status, rather, the status of his heart. While Thor can be a reckless, driven, and manic warrior, he can also be a push-over when it comes to humans, especially Jane Foster. In the times when Loki, his adopted brother, has taken humans as hostages, Thor has been willing to be beaten (literally and figuratively) for the sake of compassion.
